The day was dark and gloomy
The tears fell from my eyes
At the though of leaving you
and saying permanent goodbyes

I love you with my heart
I love you with my soul
With your sea-colored eyes
and your hair as black as coal

Your smile brightens my day
You laughter cheers me up
Your cute, naive little ways,
remind me of a newborn pup

Yet, you are wise beyond your years
and sophisticated too
And this poem is just my way
of saying, "I love you."
